Tokens of Appreciation
Tokens of Appreciation – A Heartfelt Thank You!
We were overwhelmed by the generosity and community spirit shown during our Tokens of Appreciation initiative here at The Shorty Hotel.
From March to April 4th, guests joined us not just to dine—but to make a difference. With every meal, patrons dropped a token into one of three jars representing incredible local organisations:
💛 First Chance
💛 Hydra Stars
💛 CamelsWe’re thrilled to share that the initiative was a resounding success! Your participation helped raise both awareness and essential support for causes that matter right here in our community.
👏 A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, shared the word, and gave so generously. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Remembering Our Heroes – ANZAC Day Shirt
This ANZAC Day, we’re creating something truly special – a community-focused commemorative shirt. We want to honour the brave men and women from our local families who served in the war.
We’re asking you, our patrons, to share your family stories and photos of loved ones who fought. One selected story and image will feature on our ANZAC Day shirt, helping us keep their memory alive.
A selection of these shirts will also be given away to our locals as a way of saying thank you and remembering together.
📅 Submission deadline: 19th March 2026
📧 Send your stories and photos to: admin@shortlandhotel.com.auLet’s come together as a community and honour those who gave so much for us.
